Mama discovered late in the day yesterday
that she needed to take supper out last night,
so J12 made a couple of batches of muffins for her
(with blueberries from her own bushes).
We all enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast this morning
(and yes that's chocolate on top!)

i made berry muffins today (from a frozen pack of berries from the *gasp* supermarket.)
i am trying to resist finishing them all off!!
a wise man (a hairdresser you know) once helpfully said to me as i was polishing off seconds of dessert:
"a minute on the lips
a lifetime on the hips".
except, for me, it's the waist.
bad advice, huh: especially when you're a kid.
